PATRICK T. PERANTEAU practices criminal law in state and federal courts. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1987 and, in addition to being licensed to practice law in state court in Texas, is licensed to practice law in federal court in the Western, Northern and Southern Districts of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Over the course of his career, in addition to Texas, Mr. Peranteau has represented persons accused of crimes in New York, Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Idaho, as well as in U.S. Military Courts.

Mr. Peranteau is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the San Antonio Bar Association, the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws and the College of the State Bar of Texas (1989-91). Mr. Peranteau has received the highest AV Peer Review Rating from lawyers and judges in his community in recognition of his legal ability and experience and his adherence to the highest professional standard of ethics.

Mr. Peranteau is married and has two grown children. He received his undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Texas at Austin in 1980 where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with honors and is certified in Elementary Education, Special Education (Deficient Vision) and Spanish. He spent five years teaching at the Texas School for the Blind in Austin, Texas before attending St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas where he earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence and his license to practice law in 1987. As a former educator, Mr. Peranteau has a special interest in juvenile law and youth offenders.
